Harley Holden has a master’s degree in Pastoral
Counseling and Psychology from Ashland Theological Seminary
in Ohio and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
(LPCC) with the state of North Dakota. He has worked with
victims of sexual abuse, mentally and emotionally abused
individuals, codependency, depression, grief, anxiety,
domestic violence, anger management, adult children of
alcoholics, addictions, sexual & identity issues, premarital,
marital, and family needs. He enjoys teaching workshops
and retreats, and preaching.
Harley and his wife, Linda, own Anchor Christian Counseling
with offices in Bismarck, Beulah, and Dickinson providing
counseling with a Christian perspective. Linda is the office
manager.
He is a member of the North Dakota Counseling Association,
North Dakota Mental Health Counselor's Association and the
American Association of Christian Counselors. And he is a
New Life Network Provider.
Harley is a native of Minnesota and has pastored in the Assemblies
of God in Minnesota and North Dakota, and in the United Church
of Christ and Conservative Congregational Christian Church
in Ohio for a total of 22 years. Additionally, he has been
an interim pastor in 10 churches in six denominations. Counseling
has always been a part of pastoring for Pastor Holden.
He has been counseling in Bismarck since September, 1993
and has presented seminars on Spiritual Renewal, Boundaries,
Marriage Enrichment and Changes That Heal. Mr. Holden is
a Workshop Director with Prepare/Enrich providing training
for counselors & pastors to use these relationship assessment
tools. He is currently serving as Associate Pastor at Capital
Christian Center in Bismarck, where he also enjoys teaching
adult Sunday School Classes.
Harley enjoys working with his hands, computers, PDA’s,
traveling, hiking and nature.
