Our Services

At Anchor Christian Counseling, we believe healing happens best when people feel seen, understood, and empowered. We walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate emotional pain, relational struggles, and life’s deeper questions—offering care that is grounded, compassionate, and hope-filled.

We offer both faith-integrated Christian counseling and secular counseling, respecting each client’s values, beliefs, and personal journey. You do not need to be a Christian to receive care at Anchor.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling provides a supportive space to explore what’s weighing on your heart and mind, gain clarity, and develop tools for meaningful change. We work with teens, young adults, adults, and older adults.

Common areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, and overwhelm

  • Depression and mood concerns

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Grief and loss

  • Life transitions and major decisions

  • Identity, purpose, and meaning

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion

  • Faith struggles, doubt, or spiritual disconnection

Our approach helps clients understand patterns, increase personal responsibility, and move toward lives that feel more aligned, grounded, and purposeful.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can be a source of deep joy—and deep pain. Couples counseling at Anchor is designed to help partners slow down, understand one another more clearly, and rebuild connection.

We work with couples on:

  • Communication difficulties

  • Ongoing conflict or emotional distance

  • Rebuilding trust after betrayal or infidelity

  • Strengthening emotional and relational intimacy

  • Premarital counseling

  • Discernment counseling for couples facing major relationship decisions

Our goal is not simply to “fix problems,” but to help couples develop healthier patterns, clearer boundaries, and a deeper sense of partnership.

Adolescents Counseling

Adolescence and young adulthood can be overwhelming seasons marked by pressure, uncertainty, and rapid change. We provide a safe, supportive environment for teens and young adults to process their experiences and develop confidence and resilience.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • School, college, and career stress

  • Identity and self-esteem

  • Family conflict

  • Relationships and boundaries

  • Social pressure and technology-related stress

We work collaboratively with clients (and parents when appropriate) to support growth, autonomy, and emotional health.

Faith-Integrated Christian Counseling

For clients who desire it, we offer Christian counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith with emotional and psychological care. This approach honors both spiritual formation and emotional healing.

Faith-integrated counseling may include:

  • Exploring faith, identity, and purpose

  • Addressing spiritual wounds or church hurt

  • Integrating biblical truth with emotional health

  • Optional prayer or spiritual practices (client-led)

Clients are always in control of how faith is incorporated into sessions.

Trauma & Healing Work

Trauma can affect how we see ourselves, relate to others, and experience the world. Our trauma-informed approach focuses on safety, understanding, and restoring a sense of agency.

We work with:

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • Childhood emotional wounds

  • Relational and attachment trauma

  • Shame-based patterns and emotional pain

Healing is approached at a pace that respects each client’s story and capacity.

Counseling Format

  • In-person counseling

  • Telehealth sessions (when available)

Faith based or secular counseling - Your choice

Christian Counseling
In Christian counseling, your faith can be actively integrated into the therapeutic process. This may include:

  • Prayer (if desired)

  • Exploring spiritual struggles

  • Understanding identity and healing through a Christian lens

Faith is not forced into sessions—it is incorporated at your pace and only if you want it included.

In secular counseling, sessions focus on evidence-based therapeutic approaches without incorporating religious beliefs or spiritual practices. This option is ideal for:

  • Clients who prefer a clinically grounded approach

  • Individuals exploring faith questions

  • Those from different religious backgrounds

  • Clients who do not identify as religious

In both approaches, you will receive professional, ethical, and evidence-based care. You can also adjust your
